Pharrell Williams has one more reason to be “Happy,” as he has just landed a collaboration with one of the most successful and notorious sportswear manufacturers in the world. After announcing a partnership with a Japanese clothing brand earlier this month, Pharrell is now making public his partnership with Adidas.

The singer is very enthusiastic about the opportunity, “Working with a brand like Adidas is such an incredible opportunity. From the classic track suit to growing up in Virginia wearing Stan Smiths [sneakers], Adidas has been a staple in my life. Their pieces are timeless. This is an exciting partnership for both me and Bionic Yarn.”

Bionic Yarn uses recycled plastic to produce wearable materials. Meanwhile, the people over at Adidas are also ecstatic about working with the singer. “I am truly thrilled to work with Pharrell. He is a pop culture icon that never fails to inspire, not just through his musical talent and craft, but through his many other interests. He is the perfect fit for the multifaceted company that is Adidas,” says Dirk Schonberger, creative director for the company.

There is a reason why Pharrell is so in demand these days. His collaborations with bands such as Daft Punk have earned him Grammys, as well as an Oscar-winning song for an animation soundtrack that's still rocking the charts months after its release.
