American chain of fast-food restaurants Taco Bell is now getting quite a lot of bad publicity, and it's not because it has given a whole bunch of people food poisoning.

On the contrary, what thousands of folks are terribly upset about is the fact that Taco Bell is promoting discount tickets to marine park SeaWorld, Ecorazzi informs.

In doing so, it is supporting animal abuse, conservationists and animal rights activists who wholeheartedly oppose the marine park's working agenda say.

Looking to get Taco Bell to stop promoting said discount tickets, a college student named Laura Morse has started an online petition on Change.org.

The petition has been around for just a few days, but it has already been signed by thousands of people. Hence, it is safe to assume that there are many who share Laura Morse's views on this issue.

“’Yo Quiero’ Taco Bell to stop promoting SeaWorld. I’m changing my late night restaurant recommendation to avoid Taco Bell until they end their ties with SeaWorld,” Laura Morse writes on Change.org.

“Stop promoting SeaWorld. Don't risk losing so many customers by partnering with one of the world's most notorious animal abusers!” the college student and the people who have signed her petition ask Taco Bell.

For the time being, the fast-food restaurant chain is yet to make any comments on its decision to support SeaWorld and on whether or not it will cease doing so in the immediate future.
