“It’s disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture,” woman writes

No one understands better than a woman the nightmare that is having a bad hair day, but one woman in particular is taking things to the extreme, launching a petition to get singer Beyonce to comb the hair of her daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

You read that right: there is a woman out there who is so upset about the girl’s hair (she's only 2 and a half years old, by the way) that she started a petition on Change.org to let Beyonce know that she needs to pay more attention to this. It’s titled Comb Her Hair and has already gone viral.

The woman’s name is Jasmine Toliver and, so far, she’s had very little luck in getting her point across. Word online has it that the petition was started after the release of a new set of photos of Blue Ivy with her famous parents, Beyonce and Jay Z.

Toliver thought she saw in those pics the signs of child hair neglect and she acted upon it.

“As a woman who understands the importance of hair care. It's disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture. The parents of Blue Ivy. Sean Carter A.K.A Jay-Z and Beyoncé has failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy Hair,” she writes in the petition.

“This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let's get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair,” Toliver continues.

Only about 3,400 people have signed the petition so far, so chances are it won’t make that much of a difference. Then again, even if 2 million people had signed it, that’s not to say that Beyonce would have really done something about Blue Ivy’s hair of which, by the way, voices online note that it’s not “matted” and definitely not with “lint balls,” but naturally curly and occasionally messy.

However, of those who have already signed the petition, most are in agreement with Toliver, writing in the comments section that no woman who takes such good care of herself like Beyonce, who spends thousands of dollars on haircare, should allow her daughter to go out like this.

Again, they somehow seem to forget that Blue Ivy is 2 and a half years old and she probably couldn’t care less about hair products and what-not, as long as her hair is clean and healthy.

Despite the fact that the petition has gone viral and that it has generated a lot of attention, chances are Toliver’s “cause” is a lost one. She really needs to pick her fights better in the future.
