Over the weekend, word got out that singer Peter Andre had been rushed to the hospital for an unnamed condition that reportedly brought him in critical condition. Friends are now saying they all thought he’d die.

Peter himself feared for his life, especially since he couldn’t possibly understand where the pain was coming from, sources close to him are telling the Daily Mail.

Hours before taking the stage to perform, Peter reportedly fell to the floor on all fours, holding his hands over his stomach and screaming in pain.

He was rushed to the Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, Somerset, an update on his condition was uploaded on his Twitter. Andre reportedly underwent surgery late on Friday and was discharged shortly after.

“I thought I was dead,” he reportedly told his friends about how sick he was, as the spy reveals for the British media.

“He was on all fours riddled with pain when his road manager walked into his room. Pete was really frightened for his life. He felt very disorientated and did not know what was wrong with him,” the same insider explains, as cited by the Mail.

Because of the emergency surgery, Peter Andre was forced to cancel his Friday gig, which took place instead yesterday, on Monday.

Even before the show, Andre said he wouldn’t be able to dance, but he promised the “vocal performance of a lifetime,” says the Mail.

According a statement from Andre’s management, his condition (whatever it is) will not affect the remaining dates of his tour in the UK.

“All other tour dates will be unaffected and will run to schedule. Peter would like to thank everyone for their support and their messages...” reads the statement.

“We apologize to all of Peter’s fans and appreciate their support and understanding,” the rep for the singer adds in the same press release.
