14 DAY TRIAL // He repeatedly promised himself he would not go under the knife again unless it was for some form of “maintenance” work, but recent photos of Pete Burns seem to confirm that this was a promise he’s not been able to keep.
Though less than one month ago there was nothing out of the ordinary with his face (as compared to the way he previously looked, not to how a regular man may look) save for new piercings, Burns seems to have undergone a new procedure or series of procedures.
The Daily Mail spotted the rocker out and about London with his boyfriend Michael Simpson, looking as if his face was about to collapse.
Dressed in baggy jeans, flip flops and a cap over his long hair, the rocker seemed to make an attempt at flying under the radar – but with a face like that, it was not hard for paparazzi to realize who he was and to start following him around.
“He’s unrecognizable from the fresh-faced young singer who bounded on to the Eighties music scene with pop band Dead Or Alive,” the Daily Mail says, pointing out the obvious.
“And now Pete Burns has stepped out with a painful-looking swollen face after apparently having more plastic surgery in a bid to correct his ‘ruined’ looks following several botched lip implants,” the tab further says.
“The 51-year-old singer was enjoying a day out in London with his boyfriend Michael Simpson when he debuted his new look,” the Mail goes on to say.
Speaking of Burns’ “new look” would be a bit of an overstatement, since the photos make it painfully clear that he is barely able to move his lips and face, that swollen both are.
“Burns, who enjoyed something of a career revival after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, said in a recent interview that he would only have more surgery if it would help rebuild his face,” the Mail goes on to say.
“The decision came after Burns won £450,000 in damages from his cosmetic surgeon Dr Maurizio Viel, who the singer claims left him ‘suicidal’ after his lip implant operations went wrong,” says the same media outlet.
For quite some time, Burns ceased to make drastic changes to his face – until just recently, when he put in an appearance at London Fashion Week with a face full of piercings.
