A store listing for Payday: Crimewave Edition on the PS4 and Xbox One has just appeared online, containing both an April 21 release date and plenty of different details about the remastered versions of the game, like how it runs at 1080p on the two consoles.

Payday: The Heist and Payday 2 have delighted millions of fans from around the world, but with the latest entry, developer Overkill Software has taken much better care of the Payday 2 community on the PC than on the PS3 or Xbox 360.

However, the studio is now working on upgraded versions of the old game, in the form of Payday: Crimewave Edition, which is set to appear on the PS4 and Xbox One with all the content from Payday 2, not to mention all the DLC and add-ons that have been released since the game's initial debut.

Payday: Crimewave Edition has a reported release date

Unfortunately, no new details have been shared in recent months, but now retailer Best Buy has just updated the listings for Payday: Crimewave edition for the PS4 and Xbox One, complete with actual info and even a release date.

First up, the game is set to appear on the two consoles on April 21, which makes some sense, as it falls on a Tuesday, the traditional day for video game releases in North America.

Many improvements have been made to the game

What's more, according to the big list of official-sounding details, quite a lot of improvements have been made to the new versions of the game.

First and foremost, both versions apparently run at a 1080p full HD resolution and players will experience "the rebuilt visuals that allow you to see every bank note fly and feel each bullet whiz past your head."

The list of details doesn't say which actual DLC packs are included in the Crimewave edition alongside the core content in Payday 2, but it does say that "numerous heists, weapons and gadgets" are present in this bigger version of the cooperative shooter.

Bear in mind that these details haven't been confirmed by Overkill or publisher 505 Games.
