Patriot Memory has recently decided to diversify its product offering by making its way into the market of network storage servers for home users. With the announcement, the company introduced its first NAS, dubbed Corza and designed to provide home users with an alternative to other similar products. Built to accommodate two 3.5-inch traditional hard disk drives, the new Corza from Patriot Memory can provide users with as much as 4TB of storage space.

“Storage network devices, like the Corza, will be the next mainstream consumer product,” says Saeed Arash Far, Patriot's engineering manager. “Much like the home computer or VCRs revolutionized the 1980's and 1990's, home networks are continuing to grow and expand. The typical home has multiple systems and users, Corza allows you to connect all those computers to one network. No longer will you have to use portable devices; such as, USBs or SD cards to transfer data from computer to computer. Store it all on your home network and access it from any computer on the internet.”

With the launch of Corza, Patriot Memory makes its debut into an expanding market of NAS devices, providing its customers with a fully featured solution able to support as much as 4TB of storage space. The Corza boasts a dual hot-swap HDD design that provides an easy upgrade solution for users looking to expand their home network's storage space. In addition, Corza has been fitted with a RAID 0, 1 and JBOD controller and incorporates a Gigabit Ethernet port for streaming HD movies across the network.

The company hasn't yet announced the pricing and availability details of its Corza NAS, but has mentioned a number of additional features that users are to look for in the new product. Such features include support for FTP connections and streaming digital media files across the network's computer systems.
