It has often been said that Paris Hilton is either the most dedicated actress, who won’t back out at anything from making her work known, or the person who cares the least about what others say, critics included, as long as she does what she wants. Be that as it may, the budding actress is now back promoting “Repo! The Genetic Opera,” her latest movie, despite the many Razzie nominations she got this year.

The other day, Paris was at the West Los Angeles’ Laemmle Theatre to show her support for the latest movie in which she too plays a part. Clad all in black leather, as if trying to remember audiences that the movie is, in the end, a rock musical about a killer, Paris was all smiles with fans waiting outside. Not only did she sign plenty of autographs, but she also delicately shrugged off questions on how she felt about getting so many negative nods at this year’s Razzies, considered the worst “distinction” that can be bestowed to an actor.

This year, Paris is running in three major categories at the Razzies, while her film “The Hottie and the Nottie” is also in the race for Worst Film of the Year. Paris got one nod for Worst Actress (“The Hottie and the Nottie”), one for Worst Supporting Actress ( “Repo! The Genetic Opera”), and another one for Worst Onscreen Couple (“The Hottie and the Nottie”). This is precisely why people, and critics more than anything, would have expected her to lay low for a while, as is customary when the Razzies are announced, instead of continuing the promo tour for her film.

“Repo! The Genetic Opera” is set in the future, and deals with the story of an organization that handles organ transfers. The only catch here is that, once beneficiaries of the transfer fail to meet the monthly payments, they send someone to get said organ back. As noted above, it is a musical, but not just the average type: it’s a rock musical. It also boasts an impressive cast, other than Paris Hilton, which includes Paul Sorvino and Anthony Head.

As a side note, “Repo!” is rated just at 17 by the critics at RottenTomatoes and, so far, it has not enjoyed the public reception producers expected.
