14 DAY TRIAL // Paris Hilton, Hollywood’s former wild child and socialite extraordinaire, is now the wife of Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan. The two tied the knot in a quickie ceremony in Las Vegas the other day. In attendance: Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley. As the Examiner can confirm, it was a match made in reality heaven, a mock wedding to promote Morgan’s upcoming reality show.
The bride wore an Enzoani ivory dress and smiled tenderly as Morgan, 16 years her senior, slipped a huge ring on her finger. The ceremony lasted only a few moments and ended with the traditional kiss, which, this time, seemed rather awkward. Nevertheless, both said afterwards that it was an event they had fun shooting, which will undoubtedly be obvious once the segment airs on VH1.
“Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton married Piers Morgan, star of Britain’s God Talent, in a quickie wedding at a Las Vegas wedding chapel, but it was all in jest. Hilton made a beautiful bride, all dressed in white, as Morgan slipped a gigantic rock on her ring finger. Hilton was attended by her adorable dog, also dressed in white. In attendance were Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley lookalikes. Nothing says wedding like Elvis and Marilyn,” Examiner writes of the mock wedding ceremony.
“Piers had persuaded Paris to take part in the 15-minute spoof ceremony at The Little Church of the West, to be aired on his VH1 show Piers Morgan on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 9 PM ET,” the same publication writes. Morgan even joked about the legality of the ceremony, telling the British media that, “Well, I don’t think I signed anything, so I’m pretty sure it’s not actually legal. Having said that, we did go through all the vows, so I can’t be entirely sure.”
As it’s already known, though they were bride and groom for the spoof segment, both stars are in serious relationships. Paris Hilton is dating on-and-off flame Doug Reinhardt, while Piers Morgan is engaged to be married to Celia Walde.
