14 DAY TRIAL // In the summer of 2006, Paris Hilton released her first music album, a material that was thrashed by critics but that spanned one massive hit, “Stars Are Blind.” After much teasing and dropping hints, Paris is finally talking specifics about a sophomore album, one that will include mostly dance tracks, as she reveals in an interview with Heat magazine (story via HollywoodRag).
Not only that but, according to TMZ and Paris herself (on her official Twitter page), she’s already shooting for a first video to promote the yet to be titled album. TMZ has pics of the socialite in a pink one-piece swimsuit, with pink shoes and literally dripping in diamonds in Ibiza. Paris, on the other hand, tweets she’s been shooting for two consecutive days for the video and is positively thrilled with how it’s shaping up.
“My record is in production now. I recently finished recording it. It’s very like dance, club music. I really have always loved Kylie Minogue – she’s one of my favorite artists. I’ve just been really inspired by her. I just wanted to kind of emulate her. I just kind of love her sound and I love the way she is, so I was inspired by her and the album’s going to be out in a couple of months,” Paris says for Heat. She doesn’t give out further details but more will probably emerge in the following weeks, as the release date is drawing near.
“Good morning everyone! It’s 7:30am and on my way to my music video shoot! Hope everyone has a beautiful day! Xo On set of the music video shoot. What an incredible house were shooting at and the weather is just beautiful! I Love Ibiza! The music video shoot went amazing today! So many incredible dancers and the clothes were so hot! Had so much fun! Can’t wait to see it! :)” Paris tweeted the other day. Today, she’s back to work, saying, “On set of the music video shoot. Another beautiful day in Ibiza! :)”
In August last year, what was believed to be a preview of Paris Hilton’s next album popped up online. It included samples of tracks like “Platinum Blonde,” “Girl Tax” and “Jailbird Baby” and, though the media was horrified by it, fans said it had the makings of a best seller. At this moment, these tracks are still believed to be included on the album – and you can listen to samples from them below.
