Parallels Inc., the makers of one of the most powerful virtualization solutions on the market, have announced a new version of their flagship product for Mac users.

Parallels Desktop 6.0.12090.660720 for Mac OS X is currently available as a free update to all existing users.

The new version delivers key enhancements, such as support for Ubuntu 11.04 virtual machines, improved mapping of Mac OS X system shortcuts to their equivalents in guest operating systems, and improved sharing clipboard between Windows and Mac OS X.

The new release also adds the ability to post about your exploring Windows on the Mac to Twitter and Facebook right from Parallels Desktop.

Many bug fixes have been dealt with as well, according to the virtualization experts.

Last, but certainly not least, the new Parallels Desktop for Mac adds support for the Parallels Transporter, allowing customers to migrate multiple user accounts from a PC to a Mac.

Parallels Transporter has been designed to facilitate and automate the transfer of music, pictures, bookmarks, and various types of documents from a Windows PC to a Mac.

Currently available at a special introductory price (limited time offer) of just one dollar, Parallels Transporter is said to be aimed at Mac users who may not need to run Windows on their Mac at all.

The three things it does best are:

· Access your documents created in Windows right on your Mac. · Find all your files from your PC in the proper folders on your Mac. · Use all of your Windows browser bookmarks in Safari (or any other Mac browser) on your Mac.

In addition to moving pictures, music and documents to their corresponding Mac folders, Parallels Transporter also moves Windows apps and other files into a virtual machine on the Mac. You can grab it from Apple’s Mac App Store using the link below.
