Through launches of new models in the latter half of the year

Pantech Group announced its marketing strategy in Argentina by establishing its branch in the end of August.

The Korean company, through close partnership with CTI Movil, has concentrated its efforts on increasing awareness of Pantech's brand. Also, Pantech Group attended CIT Movil's convention event held in the February in Uruguay as the main sponsor and built stronger relationship with the company and local dealers as well. From 8th to 11th, last week, Pantech and CTI attended ''Estilo Alcorts'', the most popular fashion show in the region, as the main co-sponsor and attained satisfied achievement in enhancing Pantach's brand in more than 35,000 audiences nationwide and via various mass media including newspapers and broadcasting.

Keon Chang, Kim, director of overseas operating department of Pantech Group, said: ''Argentine market is the third market in scale in Central and South America markets following Brazil and Mexico, and 7% annual growth in subscriptions is seen recently with fierce competition among telecommunication service operators and manufacturers with surge demand of handsets recently.''

CTI Movil, to which Pantech Group is supplying its product, is the largest telecommunication company in Central and South America and it's also an affiliate of America Movil which has more than 100 million subscribers just in Central and South American markets. In addition, CTI Movil has also extended business activities in the neighboring countries such as Uruguay and Paraguay.
