AT&T plans on expanding their line of available phones by introducing the tiny Pantech C3b, which is considered to have the most reduced sizes ever met in the case of a cellular.

This phone is an upgraded version of the Pantech C3 previous model, with a series of enhanced features. An important aspect is that it comes equipped with Bluetooth in order to enable connectivity for data transfer and hands-free use. Furthermore, the phone has adapted to the needs and lifestyle of modern phone users by adding mobile email support.

What it does have in common with the Pantech C3 is the design and the sizes reduced to the minimum. Unique measurements are the reason for this phone's popularity. It is 2.72 inches tall, 1.69 inches wide and 0.8 inches in thickness when closed.

This makes it more difficult to handle than other phone models, as the keypad can be best handled only by the smallest fingertips. This makes SMS writing more difficult, but does not cut from all the other services that this cellular enables.

Pantech C3b has both internal and external displays capable of supporting up to 262K colors with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. Images might not display at their best quality on this screen, but, still, the phone includes a VGA camera with flash and 4x digital zoom in digital mode.

Data transmission takes place through GPRS and also allows Mobile Email provided by Yahoo, AOL and MSN Hotmail. Furthermore, the user can download a wide range of multimedia entertainment, including wallpapers and screensavers and music ringtones in MP3, MIDI and i-Melody format.

Pantach C3b is more of a personality statement device rather than a useful one, which makes it clear why it has been received with such open arms. Pantech C3 will be available from now on at AT&T too, for a price of USD 200 or USD 20with a two-year contract or USD 30 mail-in rebate.
