Remember Panasonic’s 4K tablet, the Thoughpad 4K UT-MB5? The tablet was spotted at the CES 2013 and then at the IFA 2013 in Berlin, with the company promising shipments will kick-start until the end of the year.

But not all plans become reality, and the Japanese company just announced it was postponing the launch of the massive tablet for mid-February 2014, reports The Japan Times. The reason behind this inconsistency? It appears Panasonic has stumbled upon some glitches found to affect the radio waves of other electric appliances.

The 4K tablet was originally scheduled to arrive in Japan and Europe in December and in the United States in January, but we can kiss those dates goodbye.

Panasonic is said to go as far as to modify the product’s design in order to fix the above mentioned issue.

As a reminder, the Thoughpad 4K UT-MB5 is a 20-incher that boasts an impressive 3840 x 2560 pixel resolution. Panasonic has packed under the bonnet an Intel Core i5 vPro processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce graphics. The whole machinery runs on Windows 8.1 out of the box, so users should be able to achieve great things with this product.

Retail price for the behemoth is expected to start at $4,392 / €3,189, but since Panasonic is modifying the product, we might see some changes in this department.
