The GM2 is probably Panasonic’s new Micro Four Thirds camera

The upcoming Panasonic Micro Four Thirds camera has forever been in the rumor mill, but what couldn't be determined was what family of devices the new shooter will belong to.

Several possibilities have been eliminated. For example, I can tell you that the Micro Four Thirds camera won’t be part of the GH mirrorless series.

Now, according to new information provided by the 43Rumors, the mysterious Panasonic camera will actually be a new GM2 model that will come with a built-in EVF.

The report claims that the rumor is 99% accurate, adding that the camera is expected to be the most compact system coming with a built-in EVF.

But that’s not all. An anonymous source said there was a big possibility the new GM2 would boast 4K video recording too, something which would get a lot of people excited, I’m sure.

The current GM1 can currently be purchased from Amazon for $748 / €560, so if you don’t feel like waiting for the new GM2, you can go ahead and pick this model up right now.

The GM2 will most likely sell for more, especially if it arrives bundling the 4K function as I told you.

The GM2 will probably be the only MFT coming out of Panasonic, but a Four Thirds one with fixed lens will follow soon.
