Buyers can choose one out of ten possible looks when ordering

Most photo and video cameras have black bodies, and in some cases, different hues depending on how much effort their makers put into satisfying customer taste. The Panasonic Lumix XS1 is an extreme example, so to speak.

While its photo and video capture capabilities are definitely above average, the Lumix XS1 stands out more through its custom designs.

On the official page on the company's website, buyers can choose between 10 patterns that can be applied to the shell.

There are animal skins, camouflage, flowers, and a bunch of others. The only way Panasonic could have made the Lumix XS1 even more customizable was if it opened an option for people to submit their own patterns.

That would be like making product on command though, which wouldn't mix well with idea of mass production.

That said, the Lumix XS1 possesses a 16.1-megapixel image sensor, an aperture range of F2.8-6.9, a focal length equivalent to 24-120 mm in 35mm camera, and the Mega Optical Image Stabilizer technology.

Deliberately shaking the camera while capturing a photo will still leave things blurry, but there should be little chance of clarity being impaired in any other situations.

Then, there is the 24 mm ultra-wide-angle lens (a 5x retractable zoom lens), plus the ability to apply one or more out of 13 effects to any shots stored on the memory card.

All the parts are enclosed inside a very thin body, the world's thinnest for a camera featuring a 5x retractable zoom lens and optical image stabilization. Or at least this is what Panasonic claims.

To see more information, check out the various visual designs and maybe even order one or two of these Lumix XS1, a simple visit to the official page on Panasonic's web store will do. Just follow this link right here.
