This weekend I brought you news of a fresh Panasonic lappy CF-MX3 being launched with a built-in DVD drive. And now it appears the company is prepping another notebook which offers support for a DVD Super Multi Drive (with an odd trap door to access it).

Panasonic has strangely baptized the new laptop, the Let’s note SX3 and the device features a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels, says Techfresh. The producing company has fitted the product with an Intel Core i5-4200U processor combined with 4GB of RAM and a 750GB hard drive, so it’s a pretty capable machine to be used in work environments.

Other specifications include a webcam, an SD card slot, WiMAX (wireless communication standard designed to provide 30 to 40 megabit per second data rates), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI out and two USB 3.0 ports.

The Let’s note SX3 will run Windows 8 Pro out of the box and you can expect to see it hit the market on January 24 for a hefty $1,812 / €1,336.
