It really seems that today, the 1st official day of CES 2011, is the day when all the major names in the CE industry start rolling out their latest products, this also being the case with Panasonic, who's just revealed, among numerous other products, an extended lineup of 3D Full HD Plasma displays. The new 2011 PDP lineup includes three different product series, namely the VT30 series, GT30 and ST30 series, which we'll detail as follows.

The VIERA VT30 is a high-end series available in 65-inch and 55-inch versions, and, beside displaying video and photos in Full HD 3D, they also offer access to the Viera Connect service (formerly known as Viera Cast), plus 24p playback and a 600Hz subfield, as well as an improved Infinite Black Pro 2 Panel.

Naturally, the products in this series also come equipped with plenty of connectivity options, including three USB ports (which support Wi-Fi dongles for connection to the Internet), four HDMI interfaces, DLNA connector, a PC input, and an SD memory card reader.

Next in line comes the VIERA GT30 series that features four models, available in the 50-65 inches categories that provide roughly the same features as the VT30 series, apart from some minor differences.

Last, but certainly not least, comes the VIERA ST30 series that introduces six screen sizes, from 42-inches to 65-inches, to the Panasonic family of Full HD 3D HDTVs, and also feature advanced 3D viewing options, but a slightly smaller number of connectors.

“Everyone at Panasonic is extremely proud of the critical acclaim and acceptance afforded our 2010 Full HD 3D sets,” said Henry Hauser, vice president, Panasonic, Merchandising, Display Group.

“We’re exceptionally pleased that the VT25 series won a number of best of awards in 2010, not the least of which was the prestigious Best in Show at last years CES. Never one to stand on laurels, the 2011 line builds upon that critical success while increasing the model line-up to include two new Plasma screen sizes, and expanding the 3D experience to select LED models,” Mr. Hauser added.

Naturally, specific details regarding the pricing and availability of these new products have not been provided for the time being, but we're eagerly looking forward to finding out more on this topic in the near future.
