While everyone's attention is directed towards the first important international electronics show, CES 2014, which takes place this week in Las Vegas, Panasonic has also found the time to release a new firmware update for its AJ-PX5000G and AJ-PX2300MC P2HD professional video cameras.

The new firmware v14.63 comes with a few improvements that allow the two cameras to operate at optimum parameters. The update improves ATW (Auto Tracking White Balance) speed as well as the AUTO KNEE function that comes in handy shooting people or scenery against a strongly lit background.

In addition to that, Panasonic's new firmware also improves stability of Proxy recording and fixes an issue that prevented the viewfinder's tally lamp to light up while recording. If you own any of these two cameras you should download the Panasonic AJ-PX5000G/AJ-PX2300MC Video Camera Firmware 14.63-00-0.0 and update right away.

Coming back to CES 2014, Panasonic has already announced a few new superzoom compact and bridge digital cameras as well as a wearable 4K camera.
