And much, much more

It would seem that the good ol' jacuzzis are not good enough anymore for those rich enough to afford just the best things in life. The new hype in the area of spas is represented by high-tech models, which do provide the basic relaxation functions (water jets, air massage etc.), but also a wider range of extra-functions, especially related to in-spa entertainment. And that's exactly the type of device we'll talk about as follows, namely the Omega 42" Plasma model developed by Catalina Spas, a device that is named after the large plasma display it incorporates.

This very high-tech spa includes some pretty amazing standard features, including here no less than 74 water jets, powered by 3 x 4HP water pumps, a 1 HP air blower, an aromatherapy function, as well as enough room for 5 persons. Moreover, the device provides some pretty interesting entertainment-related functions, as for example a 42-Inch Plasma TV set, a DVD / CD players with AM/FM radio receiver and 2 pop-up speakers, all of these controlled by a Balboa Dolphin floating remote.

However, besides the standard functions, the high-tech jacuzzi from Catalina Spas also offers quite a large number of optional features, available, of course, only by paying a little (or more) extra. Thus, the device can be fitted with a cover lift, an external freeze protection sensor, fiber optic lighting, full foam installation, mister system, spa frog inline system, ozone gas generator, pH sensor and even a rising waterfall with a F.O. light decor. Moreover, the users can also opt for a vibrator pillow, a subwoofer or a waterfall with fiber optics.

Unfortunately, the manufacturers provide no direct pricing information, which means that anyone who actually wants to purchase one of these things (and has the necessary amount of money in order to do so, because this thing is anything but cheap) will have to contact Catalina Spas directly.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
