It seems that Palm has put its upcoming Pre handset on a number of its international websites, a move that might suggest that the company readies the mobile phone for launch in those areas. The phone maker hasn't made any official statements regarding the availability of the device in any of those markets, nor any info on the carriers that would add Pre to their offerings.

For the time being, we can see Palm Pre listed on the company's European sites, including France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain and UK, on the North American ones, US and Canada, on the Latin American Venezuela, as well as on Asia Pacific sites, including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

As many of you might already know, a GSM version of the Palm Pre has been reported to exist, as seen in the news coming from the Mobile World Congress last week. At the same time, the listing that we learned so far might suggest that other markets will also see the device shortly after its launch in the US.

On the other hand, the fact that Palm prepares the launch of Pre on the European market is not questionable. According to TechRadar, a spokesperson for Palm said the following: “The Pre will launch with Sprint in the US only, in the first half of this calendar year, and we hope the device will also come to Europe in 2009.”

At the same time, the Palm official didn't unveil any details regarding the availability of the handset in Europe, nor on the carriers that would have it. As many of you might already know, there have been a lot of speculations lately regarding the release of Pre in the UK, both in what the release date is concerned, as well as regarding the carrier that will bring it in the area.
