The delay is said to be due to the certification of "a key product"

After Palm Treo 680 was launched on Cingular and its brother, the Treo 750 seems to be doing pretty well after having been launched in Europe, I am sure that many were expecting the Palm Treo 750 to also hit the stores in the USA by now.

Well, it seems that you will have to wait a little more since, after being FCC approved, the Treo 750 has apparently been delayed.

"..., our Q2 FY07 revenue will be constrained by a delay in certification of a key product. We now expect to start shipping the Treo 750 for the U.S. market early in Q3 FY07. Our Treo 750v launch in Europe is doing quite well, and we expect international revenue for Q2 FY07 to be strong." says Palm President and Chief Executive Officer, Ed Colligan.

Rumor has it that although getting FCC approval, the delay of Palm Treo 750's appearance on the US market refers to the approval of its initial carrier, most likely Cingular(that has also 'taken in' the Palm Treo 680 not so long ago).

Palm recently announced that Treo 750 will be released in the US in the third quarter of 2007, but taking into account the "fiscal year" theory, according to which the third quarter of 2007 starts next month, that'll mean that the Palm Treo 750 will be out somewhere in between December and February.

So, if "early in Q3 FY07" means the beginning of December, there is a slight chance that those that await the Windows Mobile powered device might actually be able to get it for Christmas.
