A couple of Pakistani hackers of the PakBugs collective have breached the official website of Tameer Bank, the country’s first and largest private commercial microfinance bank.

According to HackRead, the attackers have defaced the website’s main page, but it’s uncertain if they’ve managed to gain access to any sensitive information.

On the defacement page, the hackers called for a law that would require owners to make sure their websites were secure before being published on the Internet.

“There must be a law for websites construction same like building’s construction. Poorly coded Pakistani websites should not be passed to be published, same like poorly constructed houses are not passed. If you add it to your cyber act 90% of your cyber space will be secured!” the hackers wrote.

Tameer Bank has taken down its website following the attack.
