I've written a gazillion articles about the PS3 Japanese launch and here comes the gazillion+1 article. This time, I'm not going to bore you to death some more with information about lucky Japanese dudes who got their hands on a PS3.

In fact, I'm going to reveal the number of PS3 games sold in Japan. Surprising as it may seem, the console to software ratio is extremely low, namely 0.98. The best selling PS3 title was, coming as no surprise, Ridge Racer 7 with 30,300 units sold. The second place was taken by Gundam Crossfire with 30,000 units, while Resistance: Fall of Man managed to secure the third spot with 15,700 units, according to 1up.com.

The total number of PS3 units sold is 88,400, 33,800 2GB units and 54,600 GB ones. If you do the math, you will see that the PS3 console to PS3 game ratio is a little under 1. This means only one thing, namely that those who managed to get their hands on a PS3, are not real gamers, but swindlers trying to make some easy money by reselling the PS3 consoles.

This ratio is not surprising, as a single bloke from Japan managed to get no less than 100 consoles for himself. He does not have 100 TVs to hook up every console but he intends to sell them.
