Developed by Tecmo's Team Ninja, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is currently the most highly anticipated PS3 action title. The intense and exciting action video game series had a previous port on Xbox. It achieved an amazing 92% review score, (taken from over 100 reviews), for Ninja Gaiden Black, on Xbox, and 94% on Gamerankings. Sigma will be the first next-generation game in the series, following the adventures of the same original ninja, Ryu Hayabusa.

The game did more than great on Microsoft's Xbox, so just imagine the success it will have on the PS3. Not that the PS3 is perfect or anything, but there aren't enough great titles out there to show what the machine can actually do. You know what? Why don't you watch this comparison footage to see what I mean.

Eidos Interactive, (both publisher and developer) will be handling the exclusive European distribution of Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS3 this summer. Jane Cavanagh, Chief Executive at Eidos stated: "This is a really exciting opportunity for Eidos and Tecmo. Ninja Gaiden is one of the most respected game franchises around and now we have the opportunity to bring Ninja Gaiden Sigma to PS3 consumers throughout Europe."

It is also said that Sigma will feature dual-wielding katanas combat, taking place on the water surface while performing the "water run technique;" there will be new boss fights but also new encounters of old bosses, like Ishtaros in the chapel. So Team Ninja's work is done now, with Eidos remaining to distribute the game throughout Europe this summer. Unfortunately, a specific date wasn't given, but it makes no difference, as the PS3 is finally getting a title worthy of that Cell processor we've heard so much about.
