Here's some good news for the PC-and-console gamer in you. We've just received word that Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3 is going to feature full mouse and keyboard support. Hello console owners and fans of the FPS genre, how are you? Yes, I've got your attention now. According to Epic's Mark Rein writing over at utforums.epicgames.com, it'll even be possible for one gamer to use mouse and keyboard while the other is struggling to aim using the SIXAXIS' analog sticks.

What, you don't think gamers want that? I can hear them now:

UT3 Gamer #1: 'Hey a**hole! You think you're good. Let's try something different. Why don't you stick with your fancy mouse and keyboard and I'll try the SIXAXIS for a little while, see what happens. What do you say punk?'

UT3 Gamer #2: 'You're on, you stupid son of?(everything you can think of).'

UT 3 Gamer #3: 'Let me get my camera!'

They just can't help themselves, that's a fact. OK, enough fooling around, let's read Rein's post, shall we?

"I checked with Steve Polge and he said that YES we are supporting keyboard and mouse in Unreal Tournament 3 on PS3," writes Rein on the official UT3 forums. "He is confident we are doing it in a way that will be balanced without feeling 'gimped' for either side. We'll also allow people to choose whether or not they want to allow mixed controller vs. keyboard/mouse games or not.

I think you guys are going to love UT3!

More details to come later."

I think we're going to love UT3 too. Good thing they're allowing all this freedom as far as the controller is concerned. You know how annoying a FPS can be using a regular gamepad. I suggest UT3 Gamer #3 to grab a camera when the battle commences - we're going to see some annoyed mouse and keyboard gamers, I can tell you that right now.
