Sony has been hard at work fixing its PlayStation Network services, which aren’t fully restored after the DDoS attacks on Christmas day.

Some PlayStation owners haven’t been able to play on their consoles for more than 5 days, which is why many feel like the Japanese company should offer them something in return to compensate for the lost time.

The same goes for those who pay for PlayStation Plus services and haven’t been able to use PSN for several days beginning December 25.

Until Sony decides whether or not to compensate PlayStation players, the Japanese company is expected to announce the new set of free games that will be available for download to PS Plus subscribers.

Sony has already confirmed the PS4 games that will be included in the lineup of free titles for PS Plus subscribers back in November, but the rest of the titles haven’t been announced yet.

PS Plus offering for North America may be slightly different

For those who don’t remember, Sony said that, starting January 2015, PlayStation 4 owners who were also PS Plus subscribers would receive Infamous: First Light and The Swapper for free.

Additionally, there will be two games for PlayStation 3 and two more for the PlayStation Vita. The games that Sony is likely to make available for free in Europe are Duck Tales Remastered and Prototype 2 for PlayStation 3.

PlayStation Vita owners in Europe will get Duke Nukem 3D and Woah Dave. The information appears on PostBargain, so it hasn’t been confirmed by Sony yet, but that should happen very soon, as we’re almost at the end of the month.

PS Plus subscribers will probably get other titles on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, but we don’t have any info on the lineup yet. We’ll update the news with Sony’s confirmation as soon as the official announcement goes live.

Update: Added a video showing the PS Plus games coming in January 2015.
