14 DAY TRIAL // PRADA Phone by LG 3.0, the third device to be released as the result of the collaboration between the South Korean mobile phone maker LG and fashion brand Prada, is now available for purchase in the UK.
The smartphone was launched at the end of last year on the South Korean market. At that time, LG announced that the mobile phone would hit shelves in the UK in January, and that happens today.
In the UK, the smartphone is available via Phones4U. The retailer offers it with the signing of a contract agreement with some of the largest wireless carriers in the country.
Users can opt for monthly contracts on O2, Orange or Vodafone. The handset is available for free on deals starting at £31 ($48/37 Euros) per month.
The new PRADA Phone by LG 3.0 runs under Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and should get a taste of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform soon.
The specifications list of the new mobile phone also includes a 4.3-inch Super Bright Display, which can deliver a 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
The handset sports a dual-core TI OMAP 4430 application processor inside, clocked in at 1GHz, complemented by a 1 GB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM.
The handset also sports 8GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.
On the back, the new mobile phone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, LED flash and support for HD video recording capabilities. A 1.3MP camera on the front has been included for video calling.
Connectivity-wise, the new PRADA Phone features HSDPA, 21 Mbps and HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, EDR, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities, microUSB (MHL) v2.0, and NFC.
The rest of the handset’s specs list includes A-GPS support, Stereo FM radio with RDS, and a standard battery Li-Ion 1540 mAh, which can offer up to 330 hours of standby time or up to 5 hours of talk time.
