Given the fact that POV (Point of View) is one of NVIDIA's most trusted partners and also a well-known manufacturers of ultra-portable computing systems, their decision to hit the tablet segment doesn't really come as a surprise, with their Tegra 2 – based Mobii tablet making its way to retailers just in time for Christmas. The Mobii Tegra Tablet 10.2 Inch comes equipped with a dual core Cortex A9 - 1 GHz CPU, accompanied by the NVIDIA Tegra 250 chipset and 512 MB DDR2 + 512 MB NAND memory. Furthermore, as the name suggests, the tablet also sports a 10.1-inch display, featuring 1024x600 pixels resolution and a capacitive touch-sensitive layer, for direct controls. In order to connect to the Internet, the POV Mobii comes packed with a 802.11 b/g module, while 3G connectivity is available as a separate option. The tablet supports Full HD playback and also packs an HDMI interface for outing content to an HDTV, while additional ports include a headphone jack and USB interface, the latter being quite useful in accessing content stored onto external storage devices. Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to mention that POV's tablet sports a 1.3 megapixel webcam module, 2 x 1W speakers, a 3300 mAh battery and weighs a hefty 730 grams. Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to mention that the tablet runs the Android 2.2 operating system, providing full access to all of its features, probably the App store as well (we're saying probably because POV doesn't offer any info on this topic). As Fudzilla reports, for the time being, the POV Tablet seems to only be available over at a couple of German online retailers, the estimated price point being set at around 350 Euro, which makes it one of the most affordable products of this type to arrive on the European market.
