The organization now has its mind set on rescuing deer and doves

PETA has thus far rolled out countless campaigns meant to encourage people to ditch meat, eggs and dairy, and turn towards a vegetarian diet instead.

I am now thrilled to report that, apart from its being very much concerned about the wellbeing of farm animals, this green-oriented group also cares about keeping wild animals safe from hunters.

Hence its thinking about purchasing one or more drones, and using them to make sure no deer or doves get gunned down by heartless people.

“The group is shopping for one or more drone aircraft with which to monitor those who are out in the woods with death on their minds,” the organization wrote on its official website.

“PETA aims to collect video footage of any illegal activity, including drinking while in the possession of a firearm, a common complaint from those who live near wooded areas; maiming animals and failing to pursue them so that they die slowly and painfully; and using spotlights, feed lures, and other hunting tricks that are illegal in some areas but remain common practices among hunters,” PETA further says.

The drone now under PETA's radar is the remote-controlled CineStar Octocopter.
