The moment the fly became history with one deadly smack from President Barack Obama

First, US President Barack Obama was the target of a massive Internet campaign advocating for beets, a vegetable Obama had an open aversion for. Now, he has come to the attention of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals group, after killing a fly during an interview with CNBC, and even feeling good enough about it to gloat, as TMZ can confirm.

The brutal killing of the innocent fly took place the other day, as Obama was in the middle of the interview, as the clip below also shows. The fly that had somehow gained access to the White House without requiring any type of credentials or verification, started to buzz above the President’s head, which is when he first noticed it. The persistent little insect continued to fly in close proximity of Obama, and he accordingly decided to put an end to its misery.

The only problem is that it was all caught on tape and now PETA is saying the President, out of all people, should show more consideration towards other living beings, and definitely more self-control. “He isn’t the Buddha, he’s a human being and human beings have a long way to go before they think before they act.” a statement from PETA to TMZ reads. In other words, he should have thought twice about the consequences of such an act before moving on with the killing.

As you can also see in the video, what probably enraged PETA the most is the fact that Obama actually shows no sign of remorse after the terrible deed, as several US and international publications point out. What PETA forgets is that this is, after all, just a fly and it would have been very ridiculous if the President sat up in the middle of the interview to “invite” it back outside, it is further being said.

“That was pretty impressive, wasn’t it?” Obama tells the CNBC reporter after delivering the one single deadly blow to the annoying insect. “I got the sucker,” he adds and, as he bends with a napkin to remove it, he asks, “You want to film that?” Of course, CNBC filmed the carcass of Obama’s first victim. See it below, as well as how it all went down.
