The PC version of role playing game Fable III is still in development at Lionhead Studios, and gamers shouldn't worry about the title being canceled or anything like that, at least according to the studio's Twitter account.

Fable III has already been launched on the Xbox 360 console, and even if it has quite a few bugs, it's still doing quite well in terms of sales.

Sadly, PC gamers still need to wait, as there have been no news about their own version.

In order to shut down rumors that the Fable III on the PC may be canceled, the Lionhead revealed on the studio's Twitter account that the game is still in development.

"Fable 3 PC Version is still in development here at Lionhead so PC gamers don't panic. We'll announce details when we're ready to do so."

Fable III was set to bring the virtual realm of Albion back to the PC, after the second title appeared only on the Xbox 360.

Sadly, things got a little hectic at Lionhead studios, and the company was forced to announce back in August that the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game will be put on separate launch schedules.

"The console and PC versions are now on different schedules as we're focusing on building experiences optimised for each platform. We aren't announcing a ship date for the PC SKU at this time, but expect news soon," revealed the studio at that time.

The PC edition of Fable III is a part of Microsoft's new initiative to support PC gaming once more, through the Games for Windows Live service, but, as you can see, it's not exactly fulfilling its role.

Hopefully Lionhead will complete development for the PC version of Fable III and ensure that none of the glitches from the Xbox 360 version will carry on to the new platform.
