Although this official report I just stumbled upon says that "4 million players MMORPG DOFUS will soon be releasing Episode 9 on server Shika: The night of the living woods!", I am almost positive that it's the game's developer, Ankama Studio, who's doing the releasing. Listed below is what Dofus Episode 9 contains, in terms of areas, weapons and items.

- A new area: the Treechnid Forest

- Two new dungeons: the Treechnid dungeon and the Soft Oak dungeon

- News monsters including the Treechnee, the terrible Soft Oak and the ancestral Treechnid

- New weapons, armors and sets

- Introduction of the Smithmagic to enchant weapons

- A new Dofus: the turquoise Dofus

Dofus is a Flash MMORPG developed and published by the French PC game manufacturer mentioned above, Ankama Studio. Dofus is set in the world of Amakna, which is Ankama spelled backwards. Its success led to the marketing of spin-off products, and to the development of two continuations: Dofus Arena, a tactical online multiplayer game, released at the beginning of 2006, is an alternative "tournament" version of Dofus; and Wakfu, which is currently under development and will be released as a beta by the end of 2007, as I found via Wikipedia.

In Dofus, players create characters that serve as their avatar in the online world. The player can choose from twelve different classes, one of which is reserved for subscribers. Combat is played out "turn by turn" on squared charts. Within a turn, each player can advance 3 squares and use up to 6 "attack points" to cast spells. The AP (attack points) and MP (movement points) can be increased as the character evolves and by using certain equipment.

The twelve different classes in Dofus are:
