This past weekend, a labrador nearly lost her life after someone (most likely her owner) tied her to a rock and left her to drown in the rising Neshaminy Creek located in north-east Pennsylvania.

Luckily for the pooch, Wyatt Erb and his wife passed by the creek and noticed the labrador standing in the middle of the water.

After rescuing the animal, Wyatt Erb contacted the Bristol Police Department, hoping that the officials working there might be able to figure out whose idea it was to drown the dog in the Neshaminy Creek. Sources say that, for the time being, the dog's owner has not been identified.

Since the lab displays several health problems (i.e. emaciation, an eye infection and even a tumor), authorities suspect that her previous owner can and should be accused of animal abuse.

Once she starts feeling better, the dog is to be put up for adoption at the Bucks County SPCA.
