”Overly Attached Girlfriend” author Laina Walker sets to use her celebrity status for a good cause, by raising money for charity throughout a monthly video campaign. The “Dare to Share” campaign consists of posting videos of herself acting on dares from users.

The 20-year-old achieved Internet star status in June 2012, when she posted a parody of Justin Bieber's Girlfriend cleverly titled “Overly Attached Girlfriend.”

Laina is most known for her freakish renditions of pop song videos, in which she stares at the camera and uses stereotypes about women to make popular tunes a bit funnier than they already are.

She now has over a quarter million YouTube subscribers, and is attempting to save the world, one clip at a time.

Her first cause is Surf Camp, an organization that tries to improve social skills and sensory motor development in children affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The charity that holds two-day field trips for students needs $50,000 to help more kids.
