Greenpeace is proud to announce that a campaign it has recently launched against Procter&Gamble and its use of palm oil provided by suppliers guilty of destroying natural ecosystems in Indonesia has gathered over half a million supporters.

According to the organization, this means that the company now has over half a million reasons to cut all ties with such suppliers, and switch to using palm oil that does not endanger the long-term survival of species that are already at risk of going extinct.

On its website, the organization goes on to detail that, of the people that have until now joined its cause, about a quarter of a million have done more than speak out against palm oil linked to deforestation.

Thus, they have sent emails to Procter&Gamble's current CEO, and have demanded that the company green up its ways without delay. The bad news, however, it that the company is yet to give into these demands.

The way Greenpeace sees things, there is just one solution to this problem, and that solution is continuing to badger Procter&Gamble until it finally agrees to green up its ways.

“P&G needs to get serious and make a commitment to No Deforestation. We are not going away. Powered by half a million, we are saying enough is enough: don’t make me part of forest destruction through the products I use every day,” the organization says.
