Two different groups have tested their skills on the vulnerable website

Hackers are once again targeting Chinese government websites. Members of a group called Code Newbie have breached into the website of the country’s Fifth Agricultural Construction Division (nws.gov.cn) and defaced around 43 of its subdomains.

HackRead has come across a zone-h.org account that lists all the defaced domains.

The hackers, who claim to be from Indonesia and Malaysia, have added their defacement pages to the “Images” folder of each subdomain. They say they’ve targeted the websites simply to test their security.

Shortly after the attack took place, the websites’ administrators took down the affected Fifth Agricultural Construction Division subdomains. However, they haven’t patched the vulnerabilities leveraged by the attackers, allowing other hackers to take a crack at it.

Currently, all the websites are once again defaced, but by a different group.
