You will use your fingerprint to unlock any of them

A month ago, when the guys over at Agile Bits showed up the way the 1Password extension could work in browsers and apps, they saw that as a great opportunity for developers.

As an app developer, all you had to do is include a short snippet of code and an icon file and you would be using the 1Password functionality via extensions. Lo and behold, a few weeks later, a sleuth of apps are demoing this new feature.

From the user's point of view the 1Password Touch ID integration is pretty awesome. Imagine you open an app and you don't want to set the short, classic and un-secure "12345" password. You tap the 1Password button next to the login field and choose a really secure one. You can even let the app choose for you. 1Password is going to remember that login information and provide it to the user anytime he is on that device or another.

When you need to access your login info, just tap the same 1Password icon next to the login field, select the 1Password extension icon and tap on your account.

And guess what? It's not only about login information. You can also choose to save Credit Cards and Identities into Safari or usernames and passwords in third-party apps. 1Password is unlocking via your fingertip and that's the most secure way to ever getting into your account, on any website.

The Agile Team blog went on talking about the various apps that use their extension in iOS 8. Among those you are going to see apps like Slack, the team communication that is trending right now, or Simple, the credit card solution of the future. And because these apps require you to keep stuff under wraps for potential work secrets or closely guard your credit cards, you'll know they are safe with 1Password.

But you can also find the extension working in Twitterrific (when you need to login into services like Vine or password-protected websites) or Pocket Informant (the Calendar and Task Manager app)

Flow or InBrowser are just two of the third-party browsers that will work with the 1Password extension. Imagine you will be using a full-fledged browser and downloader for iOS and have the power of 1Password at your finger. No need to bring up the multi-tasker to copy and paste username and passwords.

If you are a developer, you can still add 1Password to your app. If you are a user, contact your favorite app developer and ask him to provide this functionality.
