As each day passes by, more and more electronics are Bluetooth enabled and there is no doubt about the fact that the use of this feature will become even more common in the future.

Bluetooth wireless technology is present in most mobile phones, headsets, mice/keyboard devices and even vehicles. Although at the moment Bluetooth technology is not as present in other electronic devices such as medical and gaming devices, camcorders or digital cameras, an increase in the production and shipment of these products is expected in the near future.

Therefore, there is no surprise that over 1 billion Bluetooth enabled electronics have been sold so far, considering the fact that Bluetooth offers probably the easiest and most convenient way to synchronize and interconnect devices such as computers, PDA's and mobile phones.

Reaching the 1 billion milestone has already inspired Bluetooth Special Interest Group to set another goal: that of shipping 2 billion devices in one year in 2010.

Although cell-phones represent the majority of Bluetooth enabled devices that are sold, in the near future the Bluetooth technology will most likely become a part of most electronic devices and Bluetooth will probably become more standard than ever.
