Ouya is celebrating the first anniversary of the console by offering seven different games from among the first available on the console on sale for the entire next week.

DubWars, developed by Helium Interactive LLC, is a top-down rhythm-based shooter where players' weapons are controlled by the power of music and is offered at a 33 percent discount.

The Ball, developed by Tripwire Interactive, allows players to explore ancient ruins and battle hordes of enemies, in a first-person action-adventure game where they can wield a mysterious giant stone ball and its mystic powers, available at 60 percent off.

Deep Dungeons of Doom by Bossa Studios is a retro dungeon crawler where players are dared to take on the horrors of the deep, currently at 50 percent off.

Natural Soccer, developed by Thorsten Schleinzer, is an arcade soccer action game inspired by classic '90s games like Kick-Off and Sensible Soccer and is purchasable at a 50 percent discount.

The Little Crane That Could, made by Abraham Stolk, will challenge players to test their heavy construction skills as they tackle diverse puzzles, all from the comfy seat of a crane, truck, forklift and many other such vehicles, available at a 50 percent discount.

Knightmare Tower, a game by Juicy Beast Studio, gives players the all-important task of rescuing princesses as they escape the rising lava, in an action-packed arcade climber that's going for half its normal retail price.

Best Boxing Turbo, developed by Goodhustle Studios, gives players the chance to trade blows with various horrible monsters, in a fast-paced first-person boxing game that's offered at a 50 percent discounted price.

All the games above can be found on the Ouya Shop.

For those of you who haven't heard, Ouya has changed its stern policy of providing free-to-try experiences as a mandatory condition for developers to be able to deploy their creations on the platform, in an attempt to stay true to its goal of empowering developers.

Taking into consideration the extra pressure small developers face having to create a free version of their app and the fact that it also imposes a restriction on titles which are not suited for free trials, Ouya has decided to allow developers to choose whether or not they want to charge for their games up front.

The Ouya is a unique, highly portable gaming console that currently offers over 700 Android games, a third of which are exclusive to the Ouya platform.
