The Irish rock band U2 is set to play their nominated song “Ordinary Love” live on stage at the Oscars. The song is featured in the movie “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” and it will be heard live during the telecast set to take place on March 2.

The news comes from Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, quoted by Billboard. “Ordinary Love” is thus the next candidate from this year's Oscar nominees to get a performance on the evening of the event, after it was announced that Pharrell would also be playing his song “Happy” from “Despicable Me 2.”

U2's “Ordinary Love” has already won the band a Golden Globe for best original song in January.

The last time U2 was nominated for an Oscar was back in 2002, for the song “The Hands That Built America” from the film “Gangs of New York.”

Other songs nominated for this year’s edition include “Let It Go” from the animation “Frozen,” Pharrell's “Happy” from “Despicable Me 2,” and “The Moon Song” from “Her.”
