14 DAY TRIAL // Something was in the air that John Travolta breathed last night at the Oscars 2015, because for whatever reason, he couldn’t seem to help himself from touching the women he came in close proximity of, particularly Idina Menzel and Scarlett Johansson.

John Travolta creeps up on Scarlett on the red carpet
Early in the evening, new mom Scarlett walked the red carpet looking stunning in a green Atelier Versace gown that highlighted her insane figure, and a statement chocker in the same color, with matching earrings.
She posed for pictures both alone and with husband Romain Dauriac, and she seemed to be happy to be back in the spotlight after taking some time off to give birth to their first child. We’ll be seeing more of Scarlett in the following months, as she’s expected to do the media rounds for “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the latest superhero flick from Marvel.
The first video embedded below is of the actress posing for pictures on the red carpet; shortly afterwards (gallery), Travolta creeped up behind her, placed a hand on her tummy and puckered up to plant a kiss on her cheek.
Scarlett recovered quickly and put on a bright smile, but her initial reaction to this was beautifully captured in the photos below.
No one knows why John did this or if he and Scarlett even knew each other before this, but from photos available online, it seems like he walked away from her right after the kiss.
Hilariously, precisely because no one knows what could have prompted this awkward moment, everyone seems to have decided that Travolta was just being a creep.
John was very touchy-feely
As if confirming this theory, during the Oscarcast, Travolta had a similarly awkward / creeptastic exchange with Idina Menzel, whose name he’d butchered at the previous edition of the gala, which led to the Adele Dazeem meme.

Moreover, people online couldn’t but notice John’s rather hilarious fashion, as he seemed to have opted for the darkest wig in his arsenal, plenty of guyliner and caked foundation, and a throwback chain chocker worn in lieu of the customary bow tie or tie.
