Lupita Nyong’o, Meryl Streep and Amy Adams get up from their seats to dance

Pharrell William’s “Happy,” from the “Despicable Me 2” OST, was nominated for Best Song at the Oscars 2014 and, though it didn’t win, it still provided one of the most fun moments of the night, when Pharrell (and his rangers hat) took to the stage to perform it live.

You can see his musical number in the video above. In case it gets pulled, the Vine below shows the effect the performance had on the celebrities in attendance, three of whom got up to shake it for Pharrell when he danced his way in front of them.

Those would be Lupita Nyong’o, who looked divine in a pale blue gown, Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. Jennifer Lawrence, who was also asked to get up, said something along the lines of “Naw, I’m cool,” which was understandable considering she’d fallen earlier on the red carpet. Again.

Towards the end of the performance, Pharrell, who was accompanied on stage by a very large troupe of dancers of all ages, asked everybody to “c’mon, get up!,” which they promptly did. If there ever was a sure party-starter, that’s definitely “Happy.”

Speaking of the song, it didn’t win the Oscar, as it was bestowed upon “Let It Go” from the OST of the latest Disney animated hit, “Frozen.”
