Video pays tribute to all the films that didn't even get a nomination this year

Because many solid films released in 2011 didn't even get a nomination for this year's Academy Awards, above is a video tribute for them, including the categories they should have earned nods, if not actual awards.

We've already mentioned that two of the films that should have gotten the Academy's attention are “Shame” and “Drive.”

JoBlo, who made the above clip, agrees.

It also adds countless more to the list of snubs, like “Attack of the Block,” “Young Adult,” “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” “Harry Potter” and so many others you're only going to find out about if you watch the clip.

Also, one commenter on YouTube proposes a solution to this problem of snubbed movies, actors and directors: an alternate awards show, called the Snubbies.

We imagine it would be something like the Razzies, in that they'd counter the Oscars, but better than the real deal by also representing what “the people” and critics also like.
