14 DAY TRIAL // Willingly or not, Angelina Jolie has again become the talk of the town with her appearance at the Oscars 2012, where she flashed some serious leg both on the red carpet and during the ceremony. It wasn't planned, says an insider.
As we also informed you yesterday, while posing for pictures on the red carpet, Jolie adopted a very awkward and rather unnatural posture, thrusting her right leg forward and out of the dress.
She did the same during the awards ceremony, when she took to the stage to present.
Radar Online is now saying that the entire thing was meant as a joke, because she was “vamping it up” for the cameras.
Obviously, she hadn't rehearsed the pose at home, it was just something she did in the spur of the moment.
Later on, during the ceremony, she did it again because she thought it was funny – but she had no idea of the kind of frenzy she had already generated online, especially on Twitter.
“Angie was vamping it up, no more, nothing less,” a source who claims to be familiar with the situation tells Radar.
“There was no hidden meaning in what she was doing. The photographers went crazy for her on the red carpet and were screaming for her to 'Show some leg,' and so she did,” adds the same insider.
Had she known what this would lead to, she would have probably refrained from joking like this with photographers.
“It was totally unplanned for Angie to do it again when she was presenting, she was having fun, living in the moment, like she always does. She is absolutely oblivious to the controversy and attention the pose has created,” the tipster explains.
As for the other reason why Jolie is getting so much media attention, the rumors that she's too thin, the insider basically says: she has a lot on her plate right now, she lost some weight but she's healthy.
“Yes, Angie is thin. She has a lot going on with the kids, Brad, and work. Angie understands that going to award shows is part of the business, but it's not at the top of her list of favorite things to do. She is relieved that it's now over,” the unnamed spy is quoted as saying.
