Mobile phone carrier Orange UK announced recently that it had been rated as the leading provider of quality mobile broadband services, in a recent survey made by independent research company YouGov. According to the carrier, this is the second time it receives the title and it managed to achieve this position due to quality and value for money.

In addition, the wireless carrier also added that Orange’s mobile broadband service had been named number one by customers in nine out of 15 categories, among which we can count ease of use, staying connected, and overall network coverage. Back in April 2009, Orange’s mobile broadband was ranked first in reliability in YouGov’s Dongle Tracker survey, the company added.

Asif Aziz, Director of Broadband and Home, Orange UK said: “Being rated as top for our mobile network operator performance is a real honour and fantastic achievement. At Orange we’re committed to delivering a consistent and high quality user experience and have shown that we also offer great value for money with propositions starting from less than £5 per month.”

The wireless operator also added that it planned on continuing the investments in its network both for voice and for date. This way, it aims to prove that it is committed to deliver consistent quality to its users, and that this applies to its network, to the products, and the services it delivers and the experience users will receive. The company also noted that its 3G network delivered coverage to the largest number of people in the UK than any other wireless network.

“Orange offers a variety of mobile broadband and connected laptop offers in the UK, and earlier this year, took steps to provide consumers with greater control over their mobile broadband usage by launching new software that alerts them when they are approaching their usage threshold. What’s more, Orange also introduced an automatic monthly bill cap, so that all Orange mobile broadband customers are not charged more than an extra £40 a month if they accidentally go over their monthly data allowance whilst using their dongle in the UK,” the operator added.
