An Israeli artist is trying to express his creativity using an unconventional, biodegradable material: orange molded peel.

The talented designer, Ori Sonnenschein from Wahat-al-Salam village in Israel has launched a line of eco-friendly, handmade products that have a few advantages, Inhabitat informs.

They're cheap, water-resistant and they smell good. In addition, orange peel plates or cups are always a much greener option than the conventional, boring white plastic plates.

Although these objects remind me of the household items owned by the Flintstones, they definitely represent the result of an original idea.

Who knows, maybe after benefiting from an appropriate advertising campaign, the items launched by Sonnenschein could be commercialized worldwide, helping consumers dump less and reuse more.
