Offering better access to multimedia services

Today, Orange UK announced the introduction of new price plans for its users, enabling them to get the most out of multimedia services like email, Orange Maps or mobile Internet, no matter where they are. The new tariffs are set to be put on place come April 1, the wireless carrier revealed, adding that the usage of mobile Internet has been on the rise lately, and that access to social networking sites alone register a great number of users every month on Orange's airwaves.

“To meet this demand, Orange is introducing re-vitalised packages, with a range of multimedia services now included on Dolphin and Panther tariffs. New and upgrading customers will also be offered the chance to experience a free 30 day trial of one of Orange’s entertaining mobile services,” the wireless carrier stated. Moreover, it revealed that Canary was back on pay monthly plans, now with unlimited texts and more minutes for users, while the refreshed Racoon tariff included more minutes and unlimited landline calls.

Among the changes Orange operated to its plans, we can count the Panther tariff that starts at £30 a month, and which includes 400 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited mobile internet, email, Sat Nav with Orange Maps, and 50 photo messages. There is also a Dolphin tariff starting at £20 per month, which includes 100 minutes, unlimited texts, 500Mb mobile internet and unlimited email. A minimum 24-month contract is needed for each of the two.

In addition, the carrier has a free multimedia trial in store for users, “All new and upgrading pay monthly Orange customers will be offered a free month long optional taster on their mobile on any of our top six multimedia services including Orange Games Zone, Sky News and Sports, mobile internet, email, sat nav with Orange Maps or photo messaging with no commitment required. If they like what they try, the service will cost just £5 per month from their second month.”

Users interested in solutions for spending free time can go to Orange Games Zone for that, the service comes with a £5 per month price tag, and delivers two free games from the Orange Games catalogue. According to the carrier, users will download the full game and will be able to keep the titles even after unsubscribing from the service. Moreover, the service will also offer 20 percent discount for the games purchased over the two titles limit.
