A rather gray and sad new mobile phone

Orange has presented its lineup for the end of the year just a few days ago. Among some highly impressive devices, the company has also slipped an own-branded handset too. Orange Berlin is a highly fashionable device, aimed especially towards those who have an active lifestyle, the kind that cities provide.

Orange chose to give a real name to this mobile phone instead of a classic serial number, in order to make it even more special. The phone looks rather dull, in its plain dark gray color, similar to that of old town buildings. At this point, the handset has taken the least pleasant aspect of city life, making somewhat of a disadvantage. The slider phone has smooth lines, slightly rounded at the corners, but that's more of a standard design, with nothing to make it stand out.

Orange "Berlin" must be the least impressive handset when it comes to appearance in Orange's lineup for the end of this year. It looks like being made of hard plastic and that's exactly what the phone is, revealing its cheap casing solution. A look at this handset's specifications reveals the fact that it's actually a lower end one.

The only special feature that Orange "Berlin" is capable of providing is the 3G connectivity. The advantage of this is that the phone is still affordable, as it brings little other evolved features.

But why is it called like that? "The Berlin would suit someone on the Dolphin talk package, a young person who has a lots of friends and texts a lot. We think the Berlin would appeal to the type of person who would actually visit that city", explains Francois Mahieu, Orange's device director.

Orange "Berlin" was designed for the younger audience that has an active lifestyle. The company plans on releasing even more own-branded handsets in the future, also including more evolved specifications.
