The firm advises users to apply the workarounds detailed in April for the unpatched flaw

A total of 87 vulnerabilities, affecting a wide range of products, have been addressed by Oracle with the release of the July 2012 Critical Patch Update (CPU).

The patches are for Oracle Fusion Middleware, PeopleSoft, Siebel, Solaris, MySQL, Supply Chain, E-Business Suite, Health Sciences and Oracle Database Server.

Fortunately, the six security holes identified in MySQL can’t be leveraged for code execution. On the other hand, the five bugs present in Oracle Database Server software can.

On the downside, Oracle still hasn’t issued a permanent fix for the TNS Listener issue highlighted by Joxean Koret some time ago. Apparently, it’s too difficult, so they advise customers to apply the workarounds detailed back in April.

Users are advised to apply the updates or the workarounds as soon as possible.
